Visit BOL, the oldest coastal settlement on island Brač. Explore the natural phenomenon of the beach ZLATNI RAT (Golden Horn), one of the largest and most beautiful attractions of the Adriatic. Like a tongue it extends nearly half a kilometre into the clear blue sea and its shape changes over the months and seasons depending on winds and water current. Take a break in the shade of centuries old pine trees and enjoy the preserved nature and beauty of this amazing place!
Bol is a town on the south of the island of Brač in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia, population 1,630 (2011).
Bol (its name is derived from the Latin word “vallum”) is renowned for its most popular beach, the Zlatni Rat (“Golden cape”). It is a promontory composed mostly of pebble rock that visibly shifts with the tidal movement.
