Pag, a stunning Croatian rock-beach island, is home to Novalja, one of the most well-known summer festival and party locations today. Over the past ten years, the town has been drawing more and more youthful travelers each year, largely due to the increasing number of partying and festival options it is offering. Despite this, Novalja remained a family-friendly resort, exactly as it had been before the town’s major draw, Zrce beach, underwent extensive development.

With over a million visitors each summer, the beach has become the top after-beach party destination in Europe. The entire island’s pleasant Mediterranean climate ensures warm, sunny weather all summer long. Pag’s bermuda triangle

“Mom! Can we see the bermuda triangle?”
Whilst it might not look like much or be nearly as big as the real Bermuda triangle that has caused several hundred disappearances. Pag has a strange phenomenon. Next to Kustii and next to Novalja, is a pareidolia and quadrilateral-shaped terrain formation known as the Pag triangle. The Town of Novalja has declared it as a natural landmark.

On May 9, 1999, Zdenko Grbavac, a surveyor conducting measurements for a quarry spotted the formation.

During the ten years from when it was discovered, there’s been several urban myths and claims by well over 500 000 tourists about sightings of UFO’s and the rocks having healing properties (Which resulted in holes).

According to the Catholic calendar, the Winter Carnival starts on the first Saturday following the Epiphany feast and lasts until Wednesday. Every Saturday during that time, costume parties are organized in hotels and restaurants, and in the final three days, there is a chaotic celebration and the burning of a carnival doll said to be responsible for all the bad things that happened in the previous year. Every summer for the past 50 years, Pag has had a summer carnival when local musicians led by the “Kolari” accompany dances of the traditional Pag kolo. The festival is held in the end of July.
