Tour description:
Come join us on special mountain treks high above the Adriatic, with views usually experienced only by the best mountaineers! A via ferrata (iron way) route is an exposed alpine mountain trek which has been prepared with safety steel wire rope, eyebolts and iron steps. It makes difficult rock faces safely scalable by those without climbing experience. If you are in relatively good physical shape, with fine motor skills and a head for heights, you are all set to conquer a via ferrata trail. The tour spanning a total of around 3 to 4 hours, making it a worthwhile excursion to take if you want to spend some time exploring the mountainous regions of Split. Via Ferrata / Hiking Perun offering a chance to overlook the entire Split city like never before.
About Via Ferrata:
If you’ve been wondering what exactly is a Via Ferrata tour, it is in short a protected climbing route. Luckily Croatia is blessed to have some as well, offering anyone a hike/climb up large rocky mountains and hills. For those wondering about if it is dangerous you’ll be happy to know that what makes a Via Ferrata great is that along the path, climbers employ steel cables, ladders or rungs that were fixed to the rocks, allowing for a secure path that will limit any unfortunate accidents. The various safety cables and other fixtures allow a rather safe climb most mountains, as it allows people to go on it even without technical and expensive climbing gear.
For those that are lacking in exercise or want to experience something that isn’t a simple walking tour will find themselves loving a Via Ferrata experience!

About Split
Split, the second-largest and one of the oldest cities in the area of Croatia’s Dalmatia, is located on the eastern shore of the Adriatic. Due to its historical architecture, excursions, and tours, this lovely jewel of a city attracts a large number of visitors. The Diocletian palace in Split is the most well-known attraction the city has to offer. The palace’s interior features winding, maze-like paths that lead to expansive squares, making it a rather interesting and well-liked sight to see. The palace’s basement served as a location for the filming of the hit television series Game of Thrones, where Daenerys kept her dragons.
While visiting Split, you’ve surely heard that the city never sleeps. Visitors are drawn to meander around the city’s winding streets by the thronging activity and upbeat vibe that fills them. Every year, more and more people visit Split’s Diocletian’s Palace to discover its ancient architecture. Anybody may feel at ease in the rustic atmosphere, and the Palace has transformed into a mini-town.
Diocletian Palace in Split
Croatia’s Split is one of the most populated cities, and for good reason. The Diocletian Palace‘s antique architecture highlights the surrounding modern beauty, creating a pleasing fusion of the old and the new. I reside in Split, therefore even though there are attractions all around Croatia, the Diocletian Palace has a particular place in our hearts. The historic architecture attracting numerous people whether it be just for one short visit or a long stay at the heart of the palace in one of many accommodations. There’s also other reasons why you would want to go ahead and visit the beautiful palace that has withstood centuries; becoming a pseudo-town of it’s self.
Split also has several dozen beaches that have garnered attention over the years due to how clean and pure they are. Enjoy taking a dip in the refreshing blue waters that are especially sought after during the Summer time for people that want to refresh themselves in the soothing cool water when the summer heat gets too much. There’s also the various activities you can get yourself up to that start from Split and not just the Via Ferrata tour to Perun. Enjoy a fruitful endeavour by experiencing other locations that aren’t just Diocletian Palace. The Old Town being a rather popular location throughout the year and not just during the high-season (Summer months). Along with the fact it has several bars & restaurants to dine in after exploring the beautiful historic Architecture.
